



Volunteer Coordinator
Options is seeking a self-motivated volunteer to recruit
other volunteers for special and fun events, and to train, place, and
track volunteers for working one-on-one with Options' customers to help
fulfill our mission. The Volunteer Coordinator will be expected to
attend a monthly meeting with the volunteer program supervisor.
This position requires two to ten hours per week, and the Volunteer
Coordinator can set his/her own hours. Please use the

Options will provide all necessary training. Minimum age for the
Volunteer Coordinator is 21.

community for an individual with a disability! Get to know an
individual in our group homes and spend time doing things with them in
the community.

Four Wheel Drive Vehicles Volunteers (November
to March)
Options is in need of
individuals with four-wheel drive in Monroe, Owen, and Lawrence counties
to help transport staff to service settings in times of bad weather.
The settings are those where individuals with disabilities need
assistance in their home or a group home. In times of weather
emergencies, Options staff members are an even greater necessity to
their customers with disabilities.

Certified CPR Instructor
Options is in need of a certified
CPR instructor to provide CPR training while our trainer is on leave.

Life Enrichment Activities & Participation (LEAP) Program
In the LEAP Program, Options' customers are involved in a
variety of activities ranging from computer training, learning new
cooking skills, making arts and crafts, playing musical instruments,
photography, and much, much more. Options provides tools to help
assist the customers in exploring new activities and interests.
All of the activities are based in community settings. Volunteers
have an opportunity to provide assistance to the customers within the
different activity areas. This is a great way for volunteers to
work in a field of their interest, while getting to know their community
better. The program hours range from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Activity offering are changed quarterly, and are based on customers'
interests. A schedule of these activities, their times, and

Chocolate Fest (February)
Volunteers are needed for a
variety of jobs throughout the day including Chocolate Creations Contest
Assistants, Table Bussers, Decorators, Kitchen Assistants, Kitchen
Runners, Band Assistants, Vendor Assistants, and more! Contact
Options in late December or early January to sign up and get more
details.

Annual Picnic (August)
Volunteers are needed to plan and
execute activities for children and adults, and then help with clean up.
We would love to have groups of individuals take on the picnic as a
project and plan it from beginning to end including food, set up,
activities, and clean up. What a great activity to plan—food,
friends, and fun!

Halloween Party (October)
Volunteer groups are needed to
decorate for the scariest and spookiest party of the year! We need
people to decorate, plan and run ghoulish activities, set up and run the
refreshment tables, and assist with clean up.

Holiday Party (Early December)
Options’ Holiday Party is in early
December. We need individuals or groups to plan and execute
activities for children and adults, decorate, buy and wrap gifts for
customers, and clean up.
